Jillian M. DiIonno, PA-C
Jillian M. DiIonno started as a Physician Assistant with the Kayal Orthopaedic Center in September 2013. Growing up in West Caldwell, New Jersey, Jillian attended James Caldwell High School where she was a high honor roll student as well as a star athlete on the volleyball court. She battled with knee pain, which eventually lead to bilateral arthroscopic knee surgery. It was this experience that first introduced her to the field of Orthopaedics, but more importantly, Physician Assistants.
Jillian went on to graduate Cum Laude from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, with a major in Neuroscience and minor in Public Health. She had become increasingly more passionate about the sciences and medicine during college, and after completing an internship working with general surgery Physician Assistants, she knew that she wanted to be a PA. In order to gain more exposure to the medical field, she also volunteered in the emergency room at a nearby hospital, interned in a Woman and Baby’s hospital, and shadowed a variety of Physicians during her training.
After college, Jillian returned to her native state of New Jersey and began a masters program at the highly ranked Physician Assistant Program at the Rutgers University (formerly UMDNJ). She excelled in her courses and thrived in her clinical rotations. She had exposure to many different fields with rotations in surgery, medicine, family practice, emergency medicine, pediatrics, intensive care, ob/gyn, gastroenterology, psychiatry, dermatology. Her passion has always been orthopaedics, and this is what her additional elective training focused on.
In her free time, Jillian enjoys going on hikes with her husband and their dog, spending time at her family lakehouse, and being in the company of her friends and family.
